Stories in Seven Blog Circle | May

Time for another edition of Stories in Seven!

While cleaning out my pantry, I found in the very back on top shelf in my walk in pantry Sidewalk Paint that I bought almost 2 years ago! So I took my boys outside to play in the yard and I surprised them with this exciting activity.  I set up the paint set and told them they can paint the sidewalk.  Well the paint wasn't showing up the best, so I told them they could paint the house.  Skyler eyes got huge and said "Oh My Gosh" which is his new favorite saying.  As you can see when you scroll through, they had a blast!

Stories in Seven Blog Circle | April

Can you believe it is April already? Well it's time for another edition of Stories in 7!

Skyler really helped me with this story this month.  He has been begging me all week to paint and I finally said yes.  You may be asking why do I say no so often? Well, when paint is out it is a lot of work on me (I know how selfish that sounds).  I have two messy little boys and after a while they like to wander off and they don't have a care in the world if they are loaded with paint on their hands and tummies.   When I gave Skyler the thumbs up and let him pull out the paint supplies, he just lit up with excitement and I made a deal with myself to just let them make their messes and let them paint when they want to.  It's all washable anyway!

Their auntie found these adorable Melissa & Doug paint shirt and brushes, PERFECT GIFT!!!

This is also a special capture for me because the next day was the day we threw the remaining diapers we had in the trash and started Liam on underwear!  NO MORE DIAPERS!!!

Stories in Seven Blog Circle | March

This month has been a pretty quiet month not much going on, but I found a simple short story to tell.  Anyone with a younger siblings can totally relate.

We had just a normal day at the beach, which is our favorite pass time here in Hawaii.  At the beach, I love to sit back and watch my babies play.  Chloe and Liam were going to build a masterpiece, they were digging and digging.  Meanwhile, Skyler keeps going back and forth back and forth grabbing water and dumping it in a hole near by.  This was going on for about 5-10 minute and then I think Skyler got an idea.  "He-he-he, I'm gonna get sister!"  He runs out to the ocean to fill is little bucket with water and walks to his sister and .... SURPRISE GOTCHA YA!

Stories in Seven Blog Circle | February

February has arrived and that means time for another edition of Stories in Seven.  A week ago my husband's sister came to visit and it was her first visit to Hawaii.  We didn't have too much time to go swimming at the beach, so we made a quick trip to Turtle beach and to take a chance of seeing some sea turtle and soak up the beautiful view the beach has to offer.  We didn't see any turtles this time but the sound of the remarkable waves and the view made up for it.  Liam fell asleep about 5 minutes before our arrival and he was impossible to wait up, so daddy to the rescue and carried the 30lb sack of potatoes lol!  Once we made it down to the beach the kids did their thing.  Chloe loves climbing up on the rocks and towering over Mommy.  It really doesn't take much to be taller than me.  After a few minutes, Chloe made friends with a little girl from another country.  It was so cute, she can seriously make friends everywhere.  About 15 minutes into being at the beach a huge wave came and got Zack a little wet, along with Liam's leg and he finally woke up.  Baby boy was a little confused on where he was at first.  Must be weird falling asleep in a moving car only to be awaken on a beach with crashing waves.  Skyler now surprised us all.  He LOVED LOVED LOVED this beach! I have never seen him play with the waves with such excitement.  He would walk out when the ocean was pulling the water back out and run squealing with excitement each time a new wave came back.  Just like his older sister, Skyler made friends with two Japanese girls and it was so adorable seeing them play.  The language barrier wasn't holding them back! As you can see, we didn't plan for the excitement and play that this trip gave.  Skyler was literally soaked up to his neck when we were done and with no towels in the car he had to ride back in just his underwear. OOoops! We are always learning something new everyday right?  As you scroll through these images you will get a glimpse of our adventure and let the story unfold.

Stories in Seven Blog Circle | January

Last month I was asked if I was interested in joining a new Blog circle about storytelling and of course I said yes!  I'm so excited to be apart of Stories in Seven | Blog Circle.  So every month on the 7th I will share 7 pictures that tell my story!

The sun hasn't made its appearance too much lately and for Hawaii it's pretty different for us.  I can tell the kids were missing it too, so I grabbed our dollar kites out of the pantry and surprised my babies with saying "Come on babies lets load up and go fly kites"  Chloe and Skyler just squealed with excitement and of course so did Liam even though he didn't know why.  The kids had the time of their life even though Chloe's kite was somehow broken, it would barely take flight. :(  She still had fun trying... mean while Skyler got his so high!  Up, Up and Away Superman went!
